Please forgive me for falling so far behind with the newsletter. I've had so much on my plate that something had to wait.
This issue you'll notice a change in the format to make it easier to read. I will post the March issue shortly.
News at my house:
In February we lost Rodney's mother. She was 80 years old and had ovarian cancer for the last 3 or 4 years. Her faith allowed her to live and work nearly pain free up until this last year, and was a testimony to many people.
She raised her own children and several sets of nieces and nephews from various families as well as her grandchildren.
She could work circles around anyone, and up until the last 6 months or so, was often out raking in her yard, pulling up bushes, giving neighbors rides, helping people get credit or furniture and attending church faithfully.
She helped me many times, and sat with Chris playing card games on the computer with him. She loved my son, and he enjoyed her company.
Her name was Lucy Genita Perdue, and she has gone home to join her beloved husband Edward, having finished what was entrusted to her care.
Lucy we will miss you but not begrudge you the joy of being with the Savior and all you have earned. Enjoy!
